I want to give everyone a feel for this blog early into its creation rather than have it sneak up on you, so Im going to be as harsh as I deem necessary. My goal is to take this opportunity to express the sentiments everyone is too afraid to themselves.
I have a love-hate relationship with social media. On the one hand, I dont know how I could live without it. On the other hand, people are terrible. Life was so much less stressful when I didn’t have to hear what was going on inside people’s heads. Because, for the most part, people are incredibly annoying.
1. No One Cares
Next time you post on Facebook, Twitter ect, take a chance to ask yourself “Will anyone out there really give a fuck?” The answer to this question may prevent you from developing carpal tunnel. That is because, for the most part, no one cares. No one cares what you are eating (additionally, no one really wants to see it shot in fake Tri-X with a .2 megapixel camera), no one cares that its hot outside and no one cares that you will one day marry Justin Beiber. So just stop. Like a shot in a movie, if it serves no purpose and doesn’t progress the story, no one cares.
2. Drama
Drama queens are annoying as all hellfire. No one needs to share your high blood pressure. Not every disappointment requires a shit fit of epic proportions and contrary to popular belief, the world does not revolve around you. I can’t tell you how many times I have removed a friend because they were firing out statuses about how no one loves them 24/7. I get it! You get dumped a lot! You probably smell bad and/or are a bitch!
3. You Dicks
Just as annoying as the drama queens are the pricks who start fight and create drama online because hey, what are you gonna do? Hit me? I’ll fuck you up! Yeah, I did your mom, BITCH! Anyone who starts a fight online because they can hide behind their monitor and have some time to kill is the epitome of douch.
4. Attention Seekers
Just because everyone can hear you, doesn’t mean they should care. Attention seekers are a plague. If Im going to remove you as a friend, Im going to do it. Im not going to spend hours telling you or the rest of society that it will happen, just to draw attention. If I want to be left alone, Im not going to tell the world I need a break from them. Ill just take the damn break. Posting statuses just to receive the “Oh are you okay?” sentiment is just sad.
5. Really? You Think That’s Attractive?
For the love of god think about the photos you post! I’m not making any commentary on how these photos may affect your life or career, but oh dear god, you look awful. If you are going to make yourself look bad, then please refrain from pulling any of the previously mentioned faux pas.
